The role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Communications Executive to join our growing Group Communications team based at our head office in Bristol. In this role you will be key support for the Comms team in Bristol and globally finding and delivering new innovative ways to deliver our story through online and offline communication channels.

If you are someone that loves to hunt for stories, hungry to learn and has a solid understanding of communications, this will be the perfect role for you.

Key accountabilities

  • Managing a planning calendar and scheduling our communications across all channels.
  • Developing a dashboard of data from communication channels to help us analyse and improve activity.
  • Using our email marketing platform (Poppulo) to organise the design and distribution of emails and digital newsletters
  • Manage the production process of IB Weekly, our e-newsletter. This will include story planning; content editing; researching and writing stories; selection and basic editing of images and then distribution to employees.
  • Leading our global Yammer community into a key communication channel for the business
  • Management of video and image libraries
  • Researching, writing and uploading stories an features to our global intranet
  • Support the team with in-person events and conferences
  • Work with external agencies to develop content and material for communication campaigns.

Skills & experience

  • Internal communication experience gained within a corporate or commercial environment
  • Experience working with or using all forms of communication including print, digital, live event and social media
  • Impressive ability to write compelling content to a high standard in English with strong proof reading skills
  • Comfortable editing written content from contributors so it works in different formats such as social media, news and feature
  • Digitally literate and knowledge of Microsoft products such as SharePoint, Teams and Yammer as well as comfort with basic editing software
  • Understanding of content management systems for intranets and other digital media
  • A real hunger for communications and willing to learn and develop further.
  • A team player who can quickly adjust to support goals
