The Role

Imperial Brands is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to support the NGP (Next Generation Products) area of the business and report directly into the Finance Business Partner for NGP.  The successful candidate will support in managing the commercial aspects, financial performance and long-term growth of the marketing investment and portfolio management.

This role is a six month Fixed Term opportunity. 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the Finance Business Partner in delivery of key objectives for the relevant functions 
  • Work closely with Marketing, Portfolio, Science, innovation and Regional teams to develop business cases and ensure correct governance around projects
  • Support development of global initiatives prioritisation process along with Portfolio and Regional marketing teams
  • Make sure the area is working under proper governance as expected by Imperial Brands Group
  • Drive data improvements especially in area specific Financial Reporting
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including Regions, Finance and other external third parties.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous relevant experience in finance reporting/commercial roles in large, ideally from the FMCG sector, with a proven track record of delivery
  • Experience of modelling and developing business cases in a similar sector
  • Highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a matrix organisation
  • Intellectually curious, externally focused, able to develop independent perspective based on facts and have conversations around opportunities, risks, issues, and solutions
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills; being able to analyse data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root cause of issues.
  • Strong customer orientation: ability to build and manage a successful business
  • Able to build partnerships/keep relationships on all levels and deliver through coordination across a variety of business/departments and functions
