Dispatch Clerk

The Role

Imperial Brands- an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees is looking for Dispatch Clerk, who will support a full market supply in a cost-efficient way for specific markets, act as an information hub for internal and external customers, central and local production planning and logistics colleagues for specific markets and communicate and monitor market supply activities with 3rd party service providers at the factory site for specific markets, as well as deal with import and export customs provisions for specific markets.

Principle Accountabilities

• Daily despatch/order processing as well as improvement of processes
• Coordination between Manufacturing, Supply Chain, GPIO ,Customer Service Centres, Customs and external 3rd party service providers
• Preparation of reports and documentation necessary for Export/Duty Free and Domestic shipments
• Maintenance of an excellent service, e.g. 100% perfect order fulfilment, no out of stocks and no customer complaints; avoidance of inefficiency cost, e.g. waiting time invoices, surplus staff and stock, damages, compensations, inefficient processes etc.
• Professional stock management, i.e. no inventory discrepancies, no obsolete stocks, efficient write off procedures, sustainable stockpiling and stock removal strategies
• Monitoring of all work activity and escalating as needed to ensure work is completed within set objectives

Skills & Experience Required

• Several years of business experience in foreign trade and customs clearance and within the fast moving consumer goods industry
• Team work capabilities and a service oriented mentality
• Ability to work in a team and convince local and remote colleagues ·
• Very good command in the English language (good command in the German language desirable)
• Knowledge of excise duties in relationship to customs documents related to export  (T1, Ex1, EaD, T2L etc.)
• SAP, QAD and supply chain experience would be beneficial
