For our Finance team in Hamburg, we are looking for a Consumer Finance Business Partner (m/f/d)!

The Role

The Consumer Finance Business Partner co-pilots the business together with the Marketing Leaders in Germany and reports directly  to the Finance Manager Germany. The role holder collaborates within the function and cross-functional to ensure effective & efficient business delivery.

The Consumer Finance Business Partner is crucial in fostering the understanding of  financial contributions across the organization, so that we can deliver the right result for the consumer and the company. With the deep knowledge of our consumers and the Market, the Consumer Finance Business Partner acts as strategic partner in the development, articulation and implementation of the overall finance & business strategies, and live up to Purpose & Vision of Finance and the Company.

What are your major duties

  • Co-pilot the business together with Marketing to ensure delivery of financial targets.
  • Drive strategic conversations around new products, market expansion, brand planning, pricing, and consumer promotions and brand investment
  • Evaluate and analyze business opportunities, providing sound financial advice that drive commercial decisions.
  • Measure and evaluate promotional activity across products to gauge financial effectiveness and Return on Investment. Compare expected uplift vs actual uplift across promotional products, identifying opportunities for improvement in return at every stage.
  • Investigate and identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings and business growth. Help control operating costs by performing comparisons of marketing expenditure against benchmarks. Perform analyse of profitability by brand and channel to provide business insights on how to maximise profitability.
  • Assess financial impact of emerging business risks.
  • Facilitate business planning efforts (budgeting and forecasting) between FP&A and marketing teams.

Who are you?

  • University degree in Business Administration, ideally with Finance Focus or Financial Qualification
  • Several years of professional experience within Finance, preferably in FMCG environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Result-oriented approach with the ability to support others as well as take an independent position
  • Ability to influence and work effectively cross-functional
  • Driven, collaborative, focused & accountable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • You are fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous
