The Role

Coding and Tracking (C&T) in the tobacco industry involves assigning unique identifiers to tobacco products to ensure traceability along the supply chain and compliance with Track & Trace (T&T) legislations. It helps monitor product movement, prevent illicit trade, and maintain regulatory transparency. Your key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all T&T regulations, defining and monitoring compliance KPIs, translating legal requirements into business processes, and managing integrations and payment processes with ID issuers. The role also covers risk analysis, 3rd-level support for monitoring tools, documentation, and leading or supporting C&T implementation projects to ensure a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.

Duration: 16 month fixed term

Location: Warsaw , Poland  

Principle Accountabilities

  • Ensure Imperial’s compliance with all relevant Tobacco Track & Trace (T&T) legislations.
  • Define, monitor, and control compliance KPIs and risk assessments.
  • Translate legislations and specifications into actionable business requirements and work packages.
  • Manage relationships, integration, and payment processes with ID issuers and other third-party providers.
  • Provide 3rd-level support for compliance, monitoring tools, and Coding & Tracking implementations.
  • Lead or support projects, ensuring proper documentation and smooth transition to BAU operations.

Skills and Experience Required

  • University degree in economics, engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in tobacco, supply chain, or compliance environments.
  • Strong project management skills with expertise in change, risk, and issue management.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office tools; experience with SAP Signavio; willingness to travel.
