The role

At Imperial Brands we are looking for a Brand Manager to join our Oosterhout (NL) or Mechelen (BE) team, reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing Operations (SMO) Benelux. From your base location, you will travel approx. 1-2 days a week to the other office.

As our Brand Manager, your overall objective is to deliver the brand share, volume, revenue and profit targets for your brand(s). Categories within your focus are Combustibles, like Cigarettes, Roll Your Own Tobacco, Make Your Own Tobacco ,Cigarette Paper and NGP (Vape). You hunt for and assess growth opportunities throughout the year driving continued growth for the brands you are managing within Benelux based on consumer insights and consumer demand shifts. In your role, you drive brand communication and ensure a strong communication drumbeat. You will coordinate and manage brand projects as agreed in the brand plans and ensure alignment within the business via cross-functional teams to deliver all initiatives against the set KPIs, on time and executed with excellence.

Key accountabilities

  • You will give input into the strategic brand strategies and are responsible for translating and delivering the operational plans for the brand(s) in close cooperation with the Head of SMO;
  • You will be responsible for the projects that are agreed to deliver the set KPI’s against the allocated budget;
  • You will be in close contact with both internal (Benelux Market Teams (Sales & Trade marketing), Insights & Intelligence, Supply Chain, Pricing & Forecasting, Finance and external stakeholders (Global Brand Team, Product Development, Sensory Team) within Imperial Brands in order to make sure that processes run according to plan and timings are met;
  • You will ensure timely delivery of campaigns via close cooperation with both global and local agencies. You will be the guardian of your brands and projects;
  • Regular market visits will further help you to experience the difference & developments within the Benelux markets.

Skills & experience

  • A bachelors or masters degree in a relevant field;
  • At least 3 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably brand marketing within FMCG;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Able to detect opportunities and translate them into relevant product market propositions;
  • Strong ownership, ability to speak out and experienced in project management;
  • Consumer centric focus and passionate about marketing;
  • Capability to convince others, able to create a condensed presentation (PPT) & present it in an inspiring way and enjoy working as part of teams;
  • Result driven, energetic, with a positive mind set, ambitious and you like being accountable;
  • Fluent in English. Dutch and French are a pre.
